Signing of Memorandum of Understanding Between the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Singapore and the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia

1. The Kingdom of Cambodia, represented by the Cambodia Ministry of Interior (MOI) and the Government of the Republic of Singapore, represented by the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deepen cooperation in preventing and combating transnational crimes on 8 July 2025.

2. The MOU was signed by Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E. Abhisantibindit Sar Sokha, and Singapore’s Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs, Mr K Shanmugam. 

3. Singapore and Cambodia enjoy longstanding cooperation in combating transnational crime such as scams and drugs. Under the MOU, Singapore and Cambodia will enhance cooperation in combating transnational crimes such as drug trafficking, terrorism, money laundering, cybercrime and scams, including cyber-enabled scams, and strengthen the partnership between both countries to keep our region safe and secure.

4. The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Home Affairs, as part of Deputy Prime Minister Sar Sokha’s official visit to Singapore from 7-9 July 2025.
