Precautionary Measures
Singaporeans should exercise vigilance to safeguard our sovereignty, social cohesion, and the integrity of our domestic politics. This includes improving our digital literacy and awareness of foreign interference threats, and understanding Singapore’s principles and interests, to better safeguard our ability to make decisions independently. Hence, the following precautionary measures are recommended:
- Fact-check information received to ensure that it is accurate and/or authentic, or from a credible source, before sharing or reacting to it;
- Monitor your own social media platforms for suspicious or unusual activity; and
- Be on alert for suspicious attempts by foreign actors to influence our domestic politics (e.g. to advance a foreign state’s position against Singapore’s national interests).
