1. Mr Desmond Lee, Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Home Affairs and National Development, will attend the 4th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters (AMMD) in Langkawi, Malaysia from 28 to 29 October 2015.
2. The AMMD is an annual meeting, first convened in 2012, which brings together ASEAN Ministers to discuss drug matters. It is a high-level platform to discuss key policy directions to strengthen ASEAN's commitment and cooperation in combating drugs.
3. SMS Lee, together with other ASEAN participating Ministers, will call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
4. SMS Lee will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Central Narcotics Bureau.
